For a large company in the Netherlands specializing in designing and building dredging vessels of various sizes, Progmatic has developed the electrical design and software for standardizing a complete range.
The aim was to create a base and add various options depending on the chosen configuration without the need for extensive design or programming.
This has resulted in a “assembly line” approach to production, significantly reducing costs and increasing production efficiency.
At the request of Tenderworks, Progmatic has developed an advanced controller for the controlled opening and closing of glass roofs and doors for tenders. A tender is a very luxurious sloop used to transport the owners and guests staying on a superyacht to and from the harbor.
When the weather is nice, what could be more fun than to fully open this sloop like a convertible and enjoy the sun and the sea breeze through your hair? Is the weather a little less or is it getting cooler in the evening then the sloop can be closed completely wind and waterproof and you can sail comfortably and warmly.
The sliding glass panels are opened and closed by servomotors. The controls can be monitored and maintained remotely. A log is kept of measurement signals and any alarms, all with the help of an Internet connection. This makes it possible for the yard to prevent breakdowns and plan preventive maintenance.
After all, the tender must be on standby 24/7 in case a trip to shore is desired.
